for everyone
Guess what? I did my 1st abstract painting class today 14th May Sun on Mothers' Day with Macquarie community college at Eastwood. It was so much fun! I got in touch with my artistic abilities again which I was always looking forward to. Im so glad I made the decision to do it and lucky that I got in with a late enrolment just under a week before! (I enrolled 10 May, 4 days before class! Other classes were full so maybe I was fated to do this)

The teacher Ms Yaeli was so much fun and made me look at painting and art in a total new perspective... Ive always done my art slowly and almost as perfect as I could when I was an art student in secondary school cos I was doing still life and watercolour and calligraphy; it was about being precise then. Ms Yaeli teaches us that we can produce art accidentally eg when we unknowingly spill paint on the canvas or using different mediums to create art eg I experimented with a red autumn leaf that I picked up when I was going for lunch. I also used some sticks from a branch. We used our rags, newspaper, cardboard, stenciling effect from A4 paper cut out shapes etc. It was so much fun. The class reminded me of how much fun art is... Oh no ... now I wish I could just paint and paint and paint...

I thk creavity is endless and Im so glad the painting class, teacher and frenz in the class made me gain confidence and got me inspired in wanting to start painting again. I look forward to my class next sun where we experiment with more different things like colour paper, old mags, PVA glue and stuff. So excited!!!!

P.S.: If my teacher and fellow classmates in Abstract Painting is reading this, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and look forward to meeting you all next sun and get inspired all over again! Nice meeting you all!
Enjoy the pictures I took as well! It was just snapshots of when we were doing the painting and some turned out really good although not all but at least we have mementos to remind us of our 1st class together!

Thank you Mike!
Yeah especially for abstract painting! You get a different feel viewing your painting in different angles! Eg upside down or upright or other way hehehe... If I remember accurately, my teacher liked my painting upside down if you see illustration 16 and 16a she was holding it the other way round hehehhehe

Yeah it was really fun! I feel like a kid again experimenting with all kinds of stuff and techniques to paint.

Do you mean like pop art? Not sure if I will be good at it hehehe... Could always try but not at my abstract painting class though. Actually I have done a colourful sketch of a lady in very bright colours in one of my journal if you look under my links - art.

Im taking a one session only digital photography class this friday. So maybe I can take some pictures and change the colour scheme and make it like some portrait pop art hehehehehe

Yes, pop art.. I know it's kinda 70ish or 80ish but shocking colors can be interesting piece of art, too. =)

Hey, have fun on your photography class!.. Post the results. ehhehe...
